About Amy

Alternative Access Counseling is committed to making therapy and coaching more accessible for consenting adults who engage in alternative sexual and relationship expressions, regardless of disability or location. We aim to equip our clients with the tools, resources, and awareness to create their own paths, and to build the courage to take the first steps. As an LGBT+, consensual non-monogamy affirming, kink-positive counselor, I will always work with you as a team to embrace your identities and problem solve barriers to living authentically. I practice solution focused therapy, DBT, Gottman level 2, CBT, Feminist therapy, and sex-positivism and will decide with you which approach you would be most comfortable using. Amy Studer (she/zir) has a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and her LPC from the state of Missouri. With specialized training in working with human sexuality and gender, disabilities, trauma, chronic pain, neurodivergence, and severe mental health diagnoses, Amy has worked with individuals across the life span (4-90 years old).
