About Jessica

Hello! My name is Jessica Parks, and I'm a licensed clinical social worker. My experience includes work with addictions, community mental health, Federal probation counseling, as well as group and private practice. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming, kink aware, and body positive therapist, and am passionate about supporting and guiding people through crises of faith, anxiety, and difficult family dynamics that often emerge during exploration of sexual identity. I believe human beings are spiritual creatures and enjoy navigating with clients the complexities of the intersection between sexuality and faiths of all kinds. I am passionate about increasing acceptance and visibility of polyamorous and other non-traditional relationships. I believe that all human beings inherently possess the ability to heal and grow, and that therapy is simply guidance for that process. I believe that learning is a lifelong process and that without it, growth is impossible. I believe all people, no matter what circumstances they experience, have the ability to build a meaningful life. This is the perspective from which I provide therapy. For over a decade I have walked with clients through grief, chronic illness, identity struggles, anxiety, and many other challenges. I practice through the lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients as they acknowledge pain, develop mindfulness skills, identify meaningful goals, and move in the direction of the life they long to live.
